מדברות
דגם זה קורץ לעולמם של
העיוורים ומערער את הביטחון
בחוש הראייה. פנים הסוכה
חשוך לגמרי ואין טעם לקשטו,
מסגרתה עשויה מקל עיוורים,
והשׁער אינו אלא עפעף שיכול
להיסגר או להיפתח. הפסוקים
כתובים בברייל, והסכך יוצר
אשליה ויזואלית, לאמור –
גם מי שרואה עלול ללכת שולל
אחרי עיניו.
This model winks at the world
of the blind and undermines
confidence in the sense of
sight. The sukkah's interior is
completely dark, and there is
no reason to decorate it; its
frame is made out of a blind
person's cane, and its gate is
simply an eyelid that can open
or shut. The biblical verses
are written in Braille, and the
sekhakh creates an optical
illusion, showing that even
sighted people may sometimes
be deceived by their eyes.
