יחד בשטחה של סוכה אחת
מסמלות את הצפיפות
ההולכת וגוברת בישראל
בכלל ובסביבות ירושלים
בפרט. צפיפות זו מאיימת על
השטחים הפתוחים, ואם לא
נשכיל לשמור עליהם, יאבדו
עמם ערכי טבע ייחודיים שאין
להם תחליף בעולם כולו.
Nine Sukkot, crowding
together in the space of one,
symbolize the increased
crowding in Israel in general
and around Jerusalem in
particular. This crowding
threatens the open spaces,
and if we're not wise enough
to preserve them, their
unique natural qualities—
which are irreplaceable—will
be lost along with them.
