מדברות
כאשר קושרים בין ערכי חג
הסוכות ובין הטבע, נוטים
לדבר על צמחייה ועל נופים,
אך מערכת המים נשכחת
מלב, למרות מצבה הקשה
בעיקר בישראל. התפילה על
הגשם והתיאור של סוכת
עורו של לווייתן בברכת המזון
קוראים לנו להקדיש מחשבה
גם למשאב החשוב מכולם.
When people associate the
values of the Sukkot holiday
with nature, they tend to
speak about flora and the
landscape; the water system
is completely forgotten,
despite its precarious
situation, especially in Israel.
The prayer for rain and the
reference in the Grace after
Meals to the sukkah made
of the Leviathan’s skin invite
us to think about the most
important resource of all.
