מדברות
בימי חול עסוק כל אחד
בענייניו, אך בחג מתלכדת
המשפחה על דורותיה לסוכה
אחת שופעת שמחה וקרבה.
אלפי חרוזי זכוכית צבעוניים
הושחלו בסבלנות אין קץ כדי
ליצור עולם חגיגי ומאושר
זה, שבו הילדים משחקים,
הצעירים מרקדים, והמבוגרים
נחים ומתבוננים בכל אלה
בהנאה ובסיפוק.
On weekdays, all of us
are engaged in our own
affairs. But on holidays all
generations of the family
assemble in one sukkah,
which is full of joy and
togetherness. Thousands
of colored glass beads
were strung with endless
patience to create this festive
and joyous world, in which
the little children play, the
teenagers dance, and the
adults rest and look at their
offspring with pleasure and
satisfaction.
