3. After the Quake: Repentance and the End of Days
Is Ezekiel's description of the earthquake and the war identical to that of Zechariah? Why do we read these haftarot on the Sukkot holiday? We will examine these haftarot to understand better these biblical prophecies, their interconnections and meaning.

This series explores several biblical stories and prophecies in preparation for the High Holy Days and Sukkot. We will encounter Elijah and Moses as they struggle with divine justice and mercy in their role as God's prophets. We will also examine the haftarot readings for Sukkot that describe the earthquake, divine judgment, and the ideal end of days.
