Shira, the new mikveh attendant, is the center of gossip at the local Orthodox community mikveh; she’s young for a “mikveh lady” and doesn’t live in this extremely insular community.
When Shira finds out that the last attendant mysteriously drowned in the mikveh, she begins to feel that there are many ‘impure’ things in this house of purification.
This award-winning Israeli drama has been produced in 6 different countries; this is the first Anglo-production in Israel and is also the only production directed by the playwright herself.
