Fact and Fiction - Fifth meeting
Within the Family: The Religious-Secular Gap
Screening: My Brother (2007, documentary).
A secular woman attempts to reconcile with her estranged brother, 25 years after he moved to B'nei Brak. In an effort to get closer and to perhaps meet with her brother, the filmmaker decides to study Judaism and to write letters to him. The fact that reconciliation within the family is so complicated hints at the challenges of reconciliation among religious extremists in the region.
