בישראל מתקיימות קבוצות
רבות בעלות עבר, תרבות
וערכים שונים, ואין ביניהן
תקשורת מלאה. אחת
הסיבות לכך היא שבבתי
הספר היהודיים לא מחייבים
תלמידים להיבחן בבגרות
רבה,

בערבית. כך, למרות הק
רב המפריד על המשותף
ונשמר מתח קבוע, שרק
לימוד הדדי של השפות יוכל
לגשר עליו.
In Israel, there are many
groups, with a different past,
culture, and values, which
do not fully communicate
with each other. One reason
for this is that Jewish schools
do not require their pupils
to take a matriculation exam
in Arabic. So, despite the
proximity, their differences
outnumber what they have
in common and there is a
permanent tension, which
only studying each other’s
language can bridge.
