“Whenever I heard these lines, I felt they were healing me,” Geva Alon says of discovering the song “On the Nights of Full Moon” as a teenager and reconnecting with it during the war. “The song takes you back to something simple and romantic—an intense moment between two people. Sometimes you might feel guilty for finding comfort in something so small and pure, but it’s what holds us together. It’s good to cling to that.”
In the latest episode of “Song of Hope”, Geva Alon shares a heartfelt interpretation of Eran Tzur’s beautiful love song. He reflects on poignant scenes from the rehabilitation department at Tel Hashomer and recounts trying to carry on with everyday life—like mowing the lawn at his home in the Golan Heights—between the blare of sirens.
