Usher in Warm Days with Danny Sanderson and Daniel Zamir

It’s time to change the clocks! Daylight Saving Time is here, which means summer is fast approaching. What better way to welcome it than with Danny Sanderson’s classic ode to summer, Lichvod Hakayitz? This humorous and lighthearted song, originally recorded in the late 70s by Sanderson’s post-Kaveret band Gazoz, reflects the excitement for the arrival of summer and the long-awaited feeling of lightness that comes with it.

Watch Sanderson sing Lichvod Hakayitz (“In Honor of Summer”) together with Jazz and Klezmer saxophonist and singer Daniel Zamir during their special collaboration show at Beit Avi Chai in 2011.
