Isaiah’s Prophecies

The book of Isaiah contains prophecies that are considered very meaningful to early Christianity. Among them are a reference to a young woman or virgin giving birth to a son, and various passages that focus on a servant who suffered vicariously for the sins of Israel. We will explore how Jewish and Christian tradition understands these passages.
