Hope

After long weeks of running to shelters, and in the midst of a prolonged war—where the immediate past is saturated with loss and pain, and the future is shrouded in fog—it is often difficult to find a foothold in the whirlwind. Are we in a time of miracle or disaster? What does the future hold? And where, exactly, are we striving to go? In a joint conversation ahead of Memorial Day and Independence Day, Natan Sharansky and Rachel Sharansky Danziger wander between the Soviet Gulag, the Bible, and the letters of fallen soldiers who died defending us. Together, they search for the places where hope meets us in these very moments, and the paths it opens within our hearts.
