Echoes of Destruction

An exploration of the literary, emotional, and religious themes woven through the rabbinic stories of the destruction of the Second Temple and the Bar Kokhba revolt – texts of devastation that nevertheless pulse with resilience, faith, and national endurance. As we revisit these agadot during the season in which they are traditionally commemorated, we will ask what wisdom they offer a generation again confronting loss, vulnerability, and the challenge of hope.
