The Golden Age of Yiddish Theater in the U.S.A

Zalmen Mlotek, artistic director of Folksbiene, the National Yiddish Theatre in New York, sings, plays music, tells stories, and takes us back to that magnificent time when Yiddish dominated the stages on New York’s Second Avenue—from the late 19th century to the mid-20th century.

The lecture will be held in English, accompanied by film clips of Yiddish song and theatrical performances.
