2. Moses and Elijah at Horeb: Divine Justice and Mercy

What does God require from the prophets chosen to transmit His message? We will compare and contrast Moshe and Elijah as they are taught lessons of divine justice and mercy.

This series explores several biblical stories and prophecies in preparation for the High Holy Days and Sukkot. We will encounter Elijah and Moses as they struggle with divine justice and mercy in their role as God's prophets. We will also examine the haftarot readings for Sukkot that describe the earthquake, divine judgment, and the ideal end of days.
